081017 002 Lover's Lane view of Cape Town
Can you see table mountain in the back? Lion's head is on the far right. Always beautiful to see the night lights of the Mother City. This one is taken from the "Lover's Lane" in the Norther Suburbs of Cape Town. Some say it's behind the Borewors Curtain - but actually the views from here are un-obstructed. Seeing the mountain from further away puts things into perspective again.
I was happy, that moment. Sitting in my 97'er Uno Ciento with W next to me on Lover's Lane listening to the radio :-) I'm at home.

Where I'm blogging from
This is it - the first post in my new blog. Bear with me. I still remember, not too long ago, I refused to surrender the global voyeurism made possible by sites like Facebook and Co. Thought I might have to protect my most beloved "private-sphere" as this is after all where you would find "my innermost core... my most intimate details" (loosely quoting from "Somebody" by Depeche Mode here... oh teenage memories!)
Fact is - I make my living with Online Marketing. "An' it harm none, Do what thou will" is a maxime that I strive to live after, trying hard to be good every day ;-)
You, my Dearest Schwesterherzchen, have influenced my life significantly from the moment we met. And if our experiences can inspire others on their journey through life: Welcome to the Global Sistas Network of Schwesterherzchen!
I was blessed from the start: When I was born, there was already my sis Pea. We were joined by Majo and Baebb - roughly all 2 yrs apart. The 4 of us went to the same school but developed different talents - which must have confused our teachers at times. Our parents are good-natured middle-class Germans - my mum from East and my Dad from the West. Needless to say the grandparents had some different perspectives ;-)
The curious mind, I dare saying, I've inherited from my mum's line of the family.
Leaving the home-village is regarded as a rather serious threat across my ancestors. However, there were some, that broke out previously and looked for new horizons.
Over the past 10 years - I have moved 21 times. I lived in Germany, the United Kingdom and South Africa. I've returned to Cape Town now for a second 'for good' and yet I discover new landscapes every day.

Meine liebsten Schwesterherzchen
I know - we used to speak Deutsch. Well, we used to live in the same country as well. Much of my life I have spent with some of you in the same room. And yet - since the year 2000 things have changed.
My global sistas network has expanded and I now send my love to Germany, England and South Africa or wherever you are right now. As I trust in your capabilities of making sense to what I'm saying - this is it: My English Online Blog to you all my global Schwestercherzchen. If lost in translation, try this: http://dict.leo.org/ or leave a comment below - would be great to hear what you think.
This is for whenever you feel you'd like to know what's going on in my little soap bubble of life.
I won't claim to always be right here as you know I take pride in impulsive and free expressions of thought. However, I don't mean to offend anyone - so if you feel differently, let me know and I might change my perception.
"If the doors of perception were cleansed - everything would appear as it is: Infinite"
That's what William Blake said.
Knuddel und Knutscher,
Steffi
